Turkey and Vegetable Dinner for Dogs
4 servings 15 min 15 min prep
2 lbs ground turkey
3 cups assorted fresh vegetables - pureed
(from our recommended list)
1 egg
2 cups cooked organic brown rice; oats; or quinoa
sprinkle in after cooked a dash of
recommended spices from our list.
Place meat & veggies in large skillet with a little bit of water.
Cook over medium heat.
Add egg and quickly scramble into mixture.
When meat is cooked then mix in rice cool and serve.
Basic Homemade Dog Biscuits
24 servings- 30 min cook time -10 min prep time
1 1/16 cups whole wheat flour
10 1/4 teaspoons rolled oats
1 apple, chopped
1 egg, beaten
5/8 cup grated cheese or peanut butter
10 1/4 teaspoons vegetable oil
10 1/4 teaspoons milk
Fresh Breath Biscuits
2 cups organic whole wheat flour
1/2 cup organic quinoa or millet flour
1/3 cup fresh mint, chopped or 1 tablespoon dried mint
1/2 cup chopped organic parsley (washed well)
6 tablespoons safflower oil
3/4 cup water
Preheat oven to 350°F.
Combine flour, cornmeal, mint and parsley in large bowl.
Add oil and water, mix thoroughly.
Roll out to 1/4-inch thickness on floured surface and cut into desired shapes
with cookie cutters.
Bake for 40 min, or until lightly browned.
Let biscuits dry in oven several hours.
Store in airtight container in refrigerator.
Cheese Dog Biscuits
15 min prep
2 cups organic whole wheat flour
1 1/4 cups shredded cheese
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 cup vegetable oil
4 tablespoons water
Pre-heat oven to 400 degrees.
Combine flour, cheese, garlic & oil.
Knead well, adding water as needed to form stiff dough.
Roll out on floured surface to 1/2" thick, cut into bone shapes.
Bake at 400 degrees for 10 or 15 minutes until bottom of cookies are lightly
browned. Cool completely on wire rack.
Peanut Butter Dog Biscuits
30 servings 30 min time - 10 min prep time
1 cup organic peanut butter
1/2 cup honey
1 egg
1 cup milk (not dry milk)
2 1/2 cups organic whole wheat flour
2 teaspoons baking powder
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 cup wheat germ
In a separate bowl mix dry ingredients; set aside.
In a mixer or with hand held mixer blend first 4 wet ingredients.
Slowly add dry to wet and mix until a stiff dough forms.
Dust rolling surface with flour and roll dough to about 1/4 inch thick.
Cut into shapes with cookie cutter. I used a bone shape but you can use any
shape.
Bake at 350° for 20 minutes.
Cool on rack and store in container
