Tres is the author of the children’s book Shira’s Tale, inspired by her real-life dog, Shira—a remarkable word-learning pup. Shira is one of fewer than 50 dogs in the world recognized as a “Gifted Word Learning Dog” and is part of the international Genius Dog Challenge/Genius Dog Project. Her extraordinary intelligence, combined with her inspiring rescue story, became the foundation for a book. Shira has been featured in international news and science periodicals including Forbes and People.
As a songwriter, Tres found the transition from writing lyrics to writing a children’s book to be a natural evolution of her storytelling. Her work is guided by authenticity, creativity, and emotional connection.
